How to Win With the Row of Numbers Strategy?

As you know, many strategies in sports betting came from the casino. A strategy called a “row of numbers” has the same origin. It came to the betting from Germany, like most sports systems. This is a progressive strategy: it is based on the fact that, after losing, the next bet is increased in order to recoup and make a profit. There are many similar strategies in sports. An example is Martingale, where the loss is doubled. But unlike Martingale’s strategy, “row of numbers” is a more moderate system. It does not imply an increase in the bet after each win. In this regard, the player has less fears of reaching the maximum bet limit set by the bookmaker. But even this strategy, despite all the advantages, is risky enough.

How to play the row of numbers strategy?

The strategy is good because the bettor can modify it at will and discretion. True, these modifications may require some effort on the part of the player: he will need to fix his series in writing, add numbers to it or, conversely, delete it depending on the win or loss. We will analyze on an example.

Suppose we need to win one hundred dollars. To achieve this result, the bettor will need some time, which we will try to calculate. The estimated coefficient of events is 2.0. Let’s assume that of all the bets we can win only 40%: the player should better underestimate their capabilities, because their revaluation can turn into a failure. It turns out that out of 10 possible bets, only 4. If our goal is one hundred dollars, then it will be necessary to break them into twenty absolutely equal parts. As a result, we get a series of twenty-five fives.

In the “row of numbers” system, there is a rule that must be fulfilled in order for the system to work completely. If the bet wins, then the first and last numbers are removed in a number of numbers. If the bet loses, then at the end it will be necessary to finish one more number.

Now we turn to the calculation of the rate. For this, the fixed profit strategy is used. The first bet must be calculated according to the following formula: the amount of the planned win is divided by the coefficient from which the unit is subtracted. Suppose that the bet lost. Then its number, i.e. rate, must be appended to the end of the series. If the bet that was calculated according to the formula of the fixed profit strategy won,   then the first and last numbers are removed from the series. After another loss, we can calculate the new bet using the following formula: we take the first and last numbers of the series and add them, then divide the resulting sum by the coefficient of the new event, from which we subtract the unit.

Of course, the progression in the “row of numbers” strategy is not so rapid, unlike the one we see in Martingale, but with constant setbacks there is a chance to lose the game bank. Which exactly to take the numbers, depends directly on the bettor and the expected win.

One more example. Many authors of articles on this topic recommend using a method with 20 equal parts of the budget. If we fundamentally consider sports forecasts in this system, then it should be noted that this method is very risky, so we recommend that you divide the budget by at least 30 equal amounts. Now let’s count our bet: 1500/30 = 50 dollars.

Thus, we have formed 30 separate bets of $50 each. Namely:

What is the essence of the strategy?

The initial bet is $50, then the mechanism of action will look like this:

• in case of victory from the series, the first and last numbers are deleted;
• in case of defeat, a number equal to the amount of the lost bet is added to the line.

The main idea of ​​the system is that we will delete numbers faster than adding new ones because one number is appended, and two are deleted. Objectively speaking, this is nonsense, in fact, cross out all the numbers we can only get into a successful winning series, and if the series is losing, and the coefficient is less than 3, then we immediately feel all the delights of the classic Martingale.

If we take the “averaged” variant (when we win and lose strictly in accordance with the probability, that is, i.e., for the coefficient 3 – 1 times out of 3), then we will simply “shift” gradually along a series of numbers, that is,   that is, we will gradually win the initial profit amounts, but at the same time, exactly the same number of digits will be added at the back.

Calculation of the bet amount

The amount of each bet is calculated by the formula:

(Nfst + Nlst))) / (C-1)

Nfst – the first number of the row;

Nlst – the last number of the row;

C – the coefficient of this bet.

Advantages and disadvantages of the number series strategy

After we have analyzed the essence of the “row of numbers” strategy, let’s try to find out what is its advantage and what are its disadvantages in comparison with other similar strategies.

From the casino world, several other similar strategies have come to sport: D’Alambert, Martingale and others. Their basis is an increase in the subsequent bet after a loss and a decrease after winning.

The easiest to understand, but rather risky strategy is Martingale. It consists in the fact that after losing you need to double your bet. If the second bet also loses, we increase the bet again enough to cover the loss and get a profit at the bet of the first bet. If we compare it to the “row of numbers” strategy, then we see that in the latter, the stake amount in the event of a loss grows not so fast. Consequently, if the band of failures begins to pursue a bettor playing Martingale’s strategy, he will rather face the problem of the maximum betting limit at the bookmaker than in the “row of numbers” strategy, although this possibility is not excluded. A financial collapse is theoretically possible in both strategies, but in “row of numbers” the player will come to him later, which means that he has more time to adjust his game.

Another advantage over the strategy of Martingale is the ability to play not even at very high odds, although with respect to both strategies, professionals are advised to take a coefficient of at least 2.0.

If we compare the strategy “Martingale”, then with “a number of numbers” they will combine the possibility to calculate the amount of the next bet by the formula. Therefore, we will not just double the bet, but calculate its amount depending on the previous win or loss, although the formulas in these strategies will differ. The advantage of “Martingalea” is the ability to play at lower odds.

Conclusions

The strategy of D’Alambert differs little from Martingale, so comparing it does not make sense.

Strategies such as the “corridor” or “arbs” have a completely different nature and can hardly compete with “row of numbers”. In the “corridor” it all depends on how well the player successfully falls into a certain range of successful outcomes of events. If you get into this “corridor”, the bettor will be the winner. In this case, not the size of the bet is calculated, although this value is important, but the probability of outcomes.

In many respects it is similar to the previous strategy of “arb”, where the bettor, putting in different shops on opposite outcomes with different coefficients, in any case remains in a prize. This system has its risks, but does not at all resemble a progressive strategy.

Thus, each of the described strategies has the right to exist, its advantages and risks. As for the strategy of “row of numbers” it should be remembered that it has the same drawbacks as any progressive system in bets where the band of failures can lead to financial collapse or exceeding the bet limit, which is equivalent to previous result.
