Borisov Arena is a football stadium in Barysaw, Belarus, and is the home stadium of FC BATE Borisov and the national football team of Belarus. The official capacity of the stadium is 13 126 people.

Borisov Arena has 4 stands, divided in total into 26 sectors (5 for each of the gates, 8 in the central stands) of approximately the same capacity. The stadium is equipped with 10 VIP-boxes, which can provide a comfortable stay in a football match for 120 people. You can buy tickets that are not cheap at all through the club’s administration.

Honestly, there is no particular reason to overpay for a box for guests of honor. This is due to the fact that any of the sectors No.№ A3, A4, B1, B2, E3, E4, F1, F2 in the central stands will provide you with a high-quality overview of the football field. However, even if it were not possible to grab tickets to central places, there would be little reason for disappointment.

Borisov Arena was built according to the project, which implied the creation of a purely football facility, whose stands are at a minimum distance from the playing field. Therefore, do not despair if you find yourself in sectors outside the gates (for example, H1, H2, H3, C1) — from there you may not see the fullness of the development of the attack that spectators of the central stands can see, but the view of the football field will still be excellent. As a bonus — a lower ticket price for the gate.

The army of Borisov BATE fans was allocated three sectors behind one of the gates — C2, D1, D2. If you want to support the multiple champion of Belarus with fans, banners, flags and drums, which have already become a traditional element of paraphernalia, you are here. But for fans of away teams, there are two sectors (G1, G2) behind the opposite gates. Perhaps these places are the worst in the Borisov Arena, but the view of the field from here will still be much better than in most other stadiums in Belarus.

Convenient arena entrances allow people from mobility groups to attend matches. People with disabilities are provided with separate parking spaces at the entrance, ramps and a special platform in the area of sectors H3 and A1.

Where to buy tickets?

At the box office of Borisov-Arena, tickets for matches can only be bought on the day they are held. Outlets open their doors from 10-00, and the execution of input receipts in this way ends exactly before the starting whistle.

BATE became the first club in Belarus to organize the sale of tickets for its matches via the Internet. This is also largely due to the fact that Borisov-Arena is located at a fairly large distance from the city center, so not everyone will be able to purchase tickets here just because it will take a lot of time. The possibility of buying online has reduced this problem to zero.

The right to attend sports and cultural events at the Borisov Stadium is exercised on the website of the largest national ticket operator Ticketpro.by. In order not to search for events on this site, go to the official page of the stadium and click “Buy a ticket” in the upper right corner, the system will redirect you to the Borisov-Arena profile in Ticketpro.

Select any event that interests you for which online sale is open, and click “Buy a ticket.” After that, you will see a diagram of the audience hall, accessible sectors with seats and cost. After selecting a sector, row and location, click the Continue button. At the next stage, the system will prompt you to go through authorization or registration. After entering the data, click on the “Place an order” button. After that, you will find yourself on the page where you will need to enter your credit card information. After completing this step and entering the security code received on your phone, the payment will be either successfully completed or rejected.

Remember that it takes 15 minutes to complete all the steps. All that is needed before the start of the match is to print the ticket on sheet A4, which will be available in your Ticketpro account (if registered) or at the email address provided during the purchase process. Try to print to clearly see the unique barcode on the ticket — otherwise you may be denied access to the Borisov Arena.

How to get there?

For fans and visitors to the stadium, parking for 1000 cars, 4 main food outlets, a football equipment store, a children’s play center, a gym, a gym and a press conference room are provided.

From the city center (Central Square)

On foot. There are two options. The first option: move along Revolution Avenue, and then turn onto Ordzhonikidze Avenue. This avenue leads directly to the main entrance of the stadium. The second option: go along Chapaev Street to the intersection with Gorky Street and turn right. Then move to the intersection with Gagarin Street, turn right again and move along the stadium fence for about 300 meters until you reach the main entrance. Please note that the second option is missing twice as long as the first.

By public transport. Buses and minibuses No. 7A or 18. Take them at Dom Byta and go to the Stadium stop.

Public transport — train

To take the train to the city of Borisov, you need to get to the central railway station in Minsk. There you can find train schedules and costs. In Borisov, you will arrive at the central railway station. You will have to go to the stadium for 20-30 minutes.

From Pechinsky Railway Station

For those traveling by train from Minsk, it’s quite convenient to get off at the Pechinsky train station, which is located directly in front of the Borisov train station. After leaving the train, move towards the headquarters of the military unit (most passengers will also go there). About 200 meters from the railway there is a bus and railway station. You must take No. 2B, 9, 9C and get to the Vatutina Stop on the street or at the stadium stop.

From the train station

For those who like to walk, I recommend walking. Prospect of the Revolution begins directly from Borisov Railway Station. The central square is approximately one kilometer from the forecourt. The rest of the route is described in paragraph 1.

If you do not have free time for half an hour, take the bus (or minibus / minibus) No. 7A or 18 and go to the Stadion stop. These services go to the stadium as soon as possible. Number 3 (to a stop on Vatutin Street) or No. 11, 11A, 12, 12C, 18A (to a stop at the stadium) also go here, but this will take a little longer.

From the train station Berezina

Take the bus (or minibus) No. 16 and get to the stop on Vatutsina Street.

Public transport — bus

Minibus buses number 500 to the city of Borisov depart from Minsk every 10 minutes. To take the bus from Minsk to Borisov, you need to get to the Slavinsky bus station (18 Slavinsky St.). The road will take about 2 hours because of the narrow route and the large traffic in Borisov on the day of the match. These buses go to the central bus station in Borisov, but it is better to get off at the Borisov Ring Road and walk to the stadium for about 15 minutes.

From Borisov intercity bus station

Exit the intercity bus station, cross the Stroiteley street and drive to the bus station next to Vesta department store. Take the bus (fixed-route taxi/fixed-route taxi) No. 11, 11A, 12, 12C, 18A and go to the station Vatutsina or Stadium.

From Minsk (by public transport)

By train. Electric trains regularly leave for Borisov from the Institute of Culture and Minsk-Vostochny railway stations. Some of them end in Borisov, some in Orsha.

You can leave the electric train at the Pechinsky train station (and then move as described in paragraph 2) at the Borisov train station (see Clause 3).

On the passenger train. Trains in the direction of Moscow go from the Minsk Central Railway Station. Most of them stop at the Borisov railway station. See point 3 for directions from it.

By intercity bus. Buses/Buses run regularly from the Moscow Intercity Bus Station to the Borisov Intercity Bus Station. See point 5 for directions.

By car from Minsk

Take Independence Avenue, which leads to the Moscow highway, and then along the P53 Sloboda-Novosady highway, which crosses Borisov through Gagarin Street. To get to the stadium, you need to drive along Gagarin Street for about 3 kilometers. The stadium is located on the left side of the road.

From Minsk National Airport

By public transport. Buses/Coaches and jitneys/marshrutkas regularly go to the Minsk Moscow Intercity Bus Station. See paragraph 5 for instructions on how to get from there to Borisov.

By car/taxi. Follow the M2 road towards the Mountains of Glory (Kurgan Glories). After about 7 kilometers, you will cross the M1 Brest — Moscow road. You have two options. Firstly: move in the same direction until you reach the mountain of Glory, and turn to P53 Road Sloboda — Novosady. Then follow the instructions in paragraph 7.

The second option is to turn right and move along the M1 Brest Moscow highway. After about 50 kilometers at the intersection from P67 Road to Berezino, you need to turn left. After 3 kilometers you will get to Borisov through Zavodskaya street. Move along this street without turning anywhere. After Railway Crossing 30, Komsomol Street begins, which leads to Ordzhonikidze Avenue, which leads directly to the city stadium.

Where to eat

The Borisov Arena is located on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by forests, office parks and some residential buildings. There is not much that can be seen or done around the stadium, so it had few reasons long before the match.

Borisov is a rather sleepy city, so there is nothing to do in other places, but you can find several places where you can eat or drink in the center of Borisov around Revolutionary Avenue or around Gagarin Street near the bus station.

There are barely any hotels in Barysaw so your choice is either to go for one of the very basic options or pick one of the apartment rentals around the city.

Design features

From the side, the Borisov-Arena stadium looks like a streamlined alien ship. Outside it is covered with metal sheets, alternating with textile inserts, which provide unhindered penetration of light from the fixtures and advantageously hide the structural details. At the end of the roof for the most efficient mounted spotlights that can correctly illuminate a sufficiently large area of 105×68 m.

The field itself is also unique to Belarus. It has a high-quality coating from the company Richter, equipped with a system of liquid heating and irrigation.

For the audience, there is everything you need, starting from the number and comfort of seats (for 13,121 visitors about 650 seats of increased comfort, as well as 114 for journalists) and ending with a developed infrastructure. The latter includes about 1,000 parking spaces, several grocery stores, a sports souvenir shop, a children’s playroom, and even a gym and a fitness room.

On the territory of the complex there is the opportunity to organize wedding photo shoots and press conferences, as well as full-scale excursions.

Today, Borisov Arena is of constant interest among residents and guests of Belarus. It is noteworthy that it entered the list of the best stadiums built in 2014 in the world, taking 7th place. The original and unusual design, combined with maximum comfort for both athletes and fans, attracts more and more foreign partners and founders of sports events.

Construction

Officially, the construction of a new stadium began on November 12, 2010. President of the country Alexander Lukashenko took part in laying the first brick ceremony. He emphasized the important achievements of BATE at the international level. “Your guys play very well, it’s nice to watch them. The team is your face, and we must preserve it”, — the head of the state said.

The culmination of the ceremony was the application of a capsule with a message to the descendants. It was performed by Alexander Lukashenko, as well as head coach Viktor Khancharenko, team captain Dmitry Likhtarovich and vice captain Alexander Yuryevich. And the young generation was represented by Alexander Pavlovets, a student of the Borisov sports school.

“We hope that this stadium will become one of the favorite places for adults and children,” — the descendants said in a statement.
