Sweep-slide play
A sweep-slide play is an offensive strategy in American football in which the quarterback fakes a handoff to a running back after taking a snap. After that, the offensive linemen block the defenders to allow the quarterback to run down the field. The quarterback then hands the ball off to the running back, who sprints around the perimeter. By catching the defence off guard, this play will open a gap that the running back can use to get the ball further down the field.
