Lineman
Who is lineman in American football?
What linemen are offensive?
The lineman is a member of the football team who acts on the line of scrimmage. There are two types of linemen who combat each other – offense and defense.
The offensive linemen include quarterback as its coordinator, guards, center and tackles. The quarterback gets the ball from a center and then throws it to the eligible receiver – running back or tight end, wide receiver. These players advance the ball to the opponent’s end zone. The tackles work to disrupt the defensive plans.
The defensive linemen are tackles, guards, a pair of defensive ends and a center. They have similar tasks as their offensive colleagues, but they are all ineligible receivers. All defensive linemen meet their opponents just after the line of scrimmage. They are most physically strong and ready to engage the competitor’s offense.
