Defensive end

Defensive end, or DE, is a position on the field. Its position is close to the sidelines. The end is responsible for covering the receiver’s and some offensive linebacker’s routes.

Each defensive end is able to disrupt the play as a crasher. The other role is waiting defensive end who supports its teammates. Their starting pose is a three-point stance. One free hand is ready to punch the offensive line. DE’s task is to block any attempts to escape the defense using outside routes.
