Cloud
What is cloud in football?
The cloud is a confident defensive coverage with three deep defenders. Two safeties control those routes while the cornerback tries to disallow the flat route. Rest eight defenders are eligible for the zone coverage. However, the time to rebuild is enough for the quarterback to find the open receiver. The flat cornerback can slow the receiver by jamming it on the strong side while the backside is open. The quarterback understands it and calls another play. For example, they are running instead of the pass.
