The jersey numbers in cricket were first used in the 1999 World Cup, where captain wore the jersey number 1 while others wore from number 2 to 15. Now, the players choose their favorite numbers, some are based on the numerology belief, astrology, birthdate, and some take it as a random.

Nuwan Kulasekara

Kulasekara Mudiyanselage Dinesh Nuwan Kulasekara is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. Kulasekara was number one in the ODI bowlers rankings on 11 March 2009 and remained in that position until 26 September of that year becoming the first Sri Lankan to achieve the feat. He was educated at Bandaranayake College, Gampaha.

He was also a key member of the team that won the 2014 ICC World Twenty20 and was part of the team that made the finals of 2007 Cricket World Cup, 2011 Cricket World Cup, 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and 2012 ICC World Twenty20. In June 2016, Kulasekara retired from test cricket to play limited overs cricket. In July 2019, he announced his retirement from international cricket. The third ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh on 31 July 2019 was dedicated to Kulasekara.

Kulasekara used a long run-up and the seam to move both ways to trouble the batsman. Primarily an inswing bowler, he was seldom overly aggressive to batsmen. Kulasekara also developed an outswinger delivery.

Brydon Carse

Brydon Alexander Carse is a South African born English cricketer known for playing with Durham County Cricket club and the England Cricket team. Primarily a right-arm fast bowler, he also bats right handed. He is the son of Zimbabwean cricketer James Alexander Carse, who played in England for Northamptonshire. He also set the record for ducks in ODI career with 51. Carse generates good pace and regularly clocks speeds around 90mph(145kph). He made his international debut for the England cricket team in July 2021.
