Kane Williamson

Kane Stuart Williamson is a New Zealand international cricketer known as the captain of the New Zealand national team in all formats. He is a right-handed batsman and an occasional off spin bowler.

Williamson made his first-class cricket debut in December 2007. He made his U-19 debut against the touring Indian U-19 team the same year and was named captain of the New Zealand U-19 team for the 2008 U-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his international debut in 2010. Williamson has represented New Zealand at the 2011, 2015 and 2019 editions of the Cricket World Cup and 2012, 2014, 2016 and 2021 editions of the ICC World Twenty20. He made his full-time captaincy debut for New Zealand in the 2016 ICC World Twenty20 in India. He captained New Zealand at the 2019 Cricket World Cup, leading the team to the final and winning the Player of the Tournament award in the process.

On 31 December 2020, he reached a Test batting rating of 890, surpassing Steve Smith and Virat Kohli as the number one ranked Test batsmen in the world. He was nominated for the Sir Garfield Sobers Award for ICC Male Cricketer of the Decade, and the award for Test cricketer of the decade. Ian Chappell and Martin Crowe have ranked Williamson among the top four or five Test cricket batsmen, along with Joe Root, Steve Smith, and Virat Kohli of the current era.

Williamson was the only New Zealander to be named in the ICC Test Team of the Decade (2011–2020). The late former New Zealand cricketer, Martin Crowe, noted that “we’re seeing the dawn of probably our greatest ever batsman” in Williamson.

In June 2021, he captained New Zealand to the inaugural ICC World Test Championship. In November 2021, he led New Zealand to the final of the ICC T20 World Cup.

Jofra Archer

Jofra Chioke Archer is a Barbadian-born English cricketer known for representing England and Sussex. He is a right-arm fast bowler. In April 2019, Archer was selected to play for the England team in limited overs fixtures against Ireland and Pakistan. He made his international debut for England in May 2019, and was part of the England squad that won the 2019 Cricket World Cup. He then made his Test debut later that summer, against Australia in the 2019 Ashes series. In April 2020, Archer was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year.

Lungi Ngidi

Lungisani True-man Ngidi is a South African professional cricketer known for playing with the South Africa national cricket team. In the 2018 South African Cricket Annual Awards, he was named as one of the five Cricketers of the Year. In July 2020, Ngidi was named both ODI and T20I cricketer of the year at Cricket South Africa’s annual awards ceremony.

Kevin O’Brien

Kevin Joseph O’Brien is an Irish cricketer known for playing with Ireland, Leinster and Railway Union Cricket Club and several English county cricket clubs. He announced his retirement from 50 over format on 18th June 2021.

He set the record for the fastest century ever in 50-over World Cup, coming from 50 balls against England on 2 March 2011. He was one of the eleven cricketers to play in Ireland’s first ever Test match, against Pakistan, in May 2018, scoring the first Test century for Ireland men’s cricket and becoming the first sportsperson from Ireland to represent his country 300 times.

O’Brien is an aggressive right-handed middle to lower order batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in 2006 in Ireland’s inaugural match. O’Brien played for Nottinghamshire in 2009, and in 2010 was awarded a contract with Cricket Ireland, making him one of the few players with a full-time contract with the board. He was the first player for Ireland to take 100 wickets in ODIs.

In December 2018, he was one of nineteen players to be awarded a central contract by Cricket Ireland for the 2019 season. In January 2020, he was one of nineteen players to be awarded a central contract from Cricket Ireland, the first year in which all contracts were awarded on a full-time basis. In June 2021, O’Brien announced his retirement from ODI cricket, to allow him to focus on T20 and Test cricket.

Mitchell Joseph Swepson is an Australian cricketer. A leg-spin bowler, he made his international debut for the Australia cricket team in June 2018, and is known for playing with Queensland and the Brisbane Heat in Australian domestic cricket.

Jayant Yadav is an Indian cricketer from Delhi known for playing with Haryana in domestic cricket. He is an all-rounder who bats right-handed, and bowls right-arm off-break. He made his international debut in October 2016.
