Who wore number 25 in NBA?
Jersey numbers aren’t quite important when we talk about the impact that the guy has on the floor or the position he plays, and it’s nothing more than a mere symbol to represent them and distinguish them from their teammates. Nonetheless, those jersey numbers are also one of the most important things in player’s minds when they get to a new place, wanting to carry their former number to someday find their shirt hanging high on the team’s facilities rafters.
Mark Price
William Mark Price is an American former basketball player and coach. He was the head coach of the Charlotte 49ers. As a player, he played for 12 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), from 1986 to 1998. Spending the majority of his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers, his last three years consisted of one season each with the Washington Bullets, Golden State Warriors, and Orlando Magic.
Not long after retirement, Price’s number, 25, was retired by the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is a member of the Georgia, Ohio, and Oklahoma Sports Halls of Fame.
The city of Enid, Oklahoma, renamed the basketball arena Mark Price Arena, as a tribute to the NBA player’s accomplishments, since he was one of the best basketball athletes in Enid High School history.
Gail Goodrich
Gail Charles Goodrich Jr. is an American former professional basketball player in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is best known for scoring a then record 42 points for UCLA in the 1965 NCAA championship game vs. Michigan, and his part in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 1971–72 season. During that season the team won 33 consecutive games, posted what was at the time the best regular season record in NBA history, and also won the franchise’s first NBA championship since relocating to Los Angeles.

Goodrich was the leading scorer on that team. He is also acclaimed for leading UCLA to its first two national championships under the legendary coach John Wooden, the first in 1963–64 being a perfect 30-0 season when he played with teammate Walt Hazzard. In 1996, 17 years after his retirement from professional basketball, Goodrich was elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
For his career, Goodrich was a five-time All-Star and was All-NBA in 1973–74. He is one of the leading all-time scorers among lefties in NBA history. At the time of his retirement in 1979, Goodrich was 11th all-time in scoring and 10th all-time in assists.

Goodrich ranks among all-time Lakers leaders in several categories, including total points (13,044), assists (2,863), free throws made (2,830) and games played (687).
On November 20, 1996, the Lakers retired his #25 jersey, with then-Laker star Eddie Jones changing his jersey number from 25 to 6. In 2003, Poly High held a ceremony to retire his #12. On December 18, 2004, UCLA retired his #25.
Doc Rivers
Glenn Anton “Doc” Rivers is an American professional basketball coach and former player, also known as the head coach for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

After playing for Marquette University for three seasons, Rivers was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks of the National Basketball Association in 1983. He played point guard for the Hawks from 1983 to 1991 and later played for the Los Angeles Clippers, the New York Knicks, and the San Antonio Spurs. Rivers was an NBA All-Star in 1988.
In 1999, Rivers began his NBA coaching career when he was hired as head coach of the Orlando Magic. Rivers was named the 2000 NBA Coach of the Year in his first season with the Magic. Rivers went on to coach the Boston Celtics, the Los Angeles Clippers, and the Philadelphia 76ers. He won an NBA championship in 2008 as head coach of the Celtics.

Chet Walker
Chester Walker is an American former professional basketball player.
Born in Bethlehem, Mississippi, Walker played high school basketball for the Benton Harbor High School boys basketball team. He graduated from Bradley University in 1962 as the school’s all-time leading scorer. The Bradley Braves won the NIT Championship in 1957 and 1960. Walker’s speed and agility on the court earned him the nickname “Chet the Jet”. He probably is best remembered as a starting forward on the 1966–67 Philadelphia 76ers team, which some consider the best NBA team of all time.
Al Jefferson
Al Ricardo Jefferson is an American former professional basketball player. He was a high school All-American for Prentiss High School in Mississippi before skipping college to enter the 2004 NBA draft, where he was drafted 15th overall by the Boston Celtics. He played 14 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz, Charlotte Hornets and Indiana Pacers, earning third-team All-NBA honors in 2014 with the Hornets.
