Moonshot
What is moonshot in baseball?
The moonshot is the home run released at a deep angle on a big distance. Their range is 410-660 feet. Sometimes it’s difficult to calculate the distance due to a lost ball. That happens in San Francisco, where the ball falls into McCovey Cove after the hit at Oracle Park. The example of the moonshot is clearly described in Looney Tunes’ Bugs Bunny Baseball episode. If the Bunny didn’t start to chase the ball, it could score the home run instead.
