Baseball doughnut
What is baseball doughnut?
Are there any opponents to doughnuts?
The baseball doughnut is the weighted ring on the bat. Its task is to increase bat speed. The weight of the doughnut is between 4 and 26 oz. Players use it for warming up of the bat and feel swing faster after this ring decreases off. The instrument’s higher load stimulates the neural system and activates muscles at the lighter bats.
However, it has some opponents. The baseball doughnut may destroy banana stalks. Another problem is that this method may change the muscles recruited and decrease the hitting mechanics. California State University research demonstrated the same conclusion too. Some leagues prohibit using this device for safety reasons.
